This is a critical skill contributes to the success of psychotherapy to a significant extent. In our daily lives as well, persuasion is important if we want to get agreement without coercion on a goal(s) worth achieving. Very simply put if you are not persuasive you will rarely ever wind a debate or argument or get anyone to do something we want them to do if they have any resistance at all.
