With technological advances and conveniences, people’s lives have in many ways become increasingly easier, as well as less active. Lack of exercise, along with the consumption of unhealthy food has become a part of our everyday routines. These habits are maintained due to insufficient self-management skills, such as the ability to set personal goals, monitor progress, or reward progress toward such goals. Furthermore, because these practices have become widespread, there is also lack of encouragement, support, or companionship from family and friends to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
