What would happen if there was not a dual court system?

Answer #1

One drawback would be that the States will have to depend on the Federal government on everything such as setting up the courts, appointing judges etc. which would delay the judicial process. If the Federal and State governments are from different parties, it would trigger more conflict. The number of cases the Federal Government has to deal will be more thus appointing judges will become pretty hard. The financial factor will also be a drawback for the Federal government if it has to look after the entire system.
