Charity begins at home and character is built at home. Parents are the first role models to their children who influence their children for a life time. Children learn by imitation and copying. Children feel happy when they are able to do things as their elders. The problem is that the children will practice whatever the parents do, behave and think, so what the parents think, do and behave is going to affect the child to a great extent.
If a parent is very authoritarian or disciplinarian, the child will get less freedom and they would grow submissively struggling to decide things on their own. If a parent is permissive and indulgent, they would let the children go free and the children will lack quality and guidance and become spoilt. If the parent adopt the avoidant parenting the children would lack the parental love and affection thus look them elsewhere. Authoritative parenting on the other hand set expectations while at the same time give enough freedom to choose. They also guide and support their children throughout. In my opinion, the moral development of the children are affected by the parenting style they are exposed to.
