If/when girls do, why do Barlett & Coyne suggest females cyberbully more often than males?
Barlett & Coyne suggests that girls engage in more cyberbullying than boys and they provide two reasons for this trend. Firstly, girls engage in mild bullying than boys and this would mean that because of the less severe bullying the number of incidents would rarely come out. Bullying is not considered much when it doesn't involve any physical violence. Secondly, the number of bullying for girls is more during the early to middle adolescents while boys have more incidents during the late adolescence. This would mean most of the girls' bullying comes out of ignorant and playful acts of the girls while most of the time, boys enagge in more intentional bullying.
