Answer #1

People generally define family violence using facets like the extent to which rights of a person/ human being are supressed.

This supression usually reflects concern towards women, girls, children and old people.

Media shapes our definition of family violence through aspects like conflicts, quarrels, stretched relationships, envy, competition, egoism, sexual desires, thirst for money/ name and fame.

The violence in families of celebrities, actors and actresses, politicians has been a topic of discussion in media.

For example, in India, daughter big a member of parliament was about to marry a boy of her choice. This was strongly disliked and opposed by parents. They used to beat her and abuse her. She came forward and brought it in light through media.
