A. the effects on children of viewing violence in person and in the media
Albert Bandura, a famous psychologist, did a groundbreaking experiment labelled as "Bobo doll experiment" which aimed at proving his theory of social learning. The experiment comprised of adult actors acting aggressively towards the Bobo doll in front of couple of children. Later, when children were given Bobo dolls they also acted in a similar fashion as the adult actors. This experiment showed that children learn through observing and imitating adults. The children are capable of learning a behavior after seeing a model being rewarded, punished, or experiencing no consequences for the specific behavior being experienced.
