Standford Prison Experiment was conducted to investigate the psychological effects of perceived power, perceived roles while. focusing on the struggle between prisoners and prison officers. It tries to show how the roles played by a person deeply affects and drive human behavior and how the situation influences human behavior

Deindividuation was observed, it is the state when you become so absorbed in your roles and norms of the group that you lose your personal sense of identity

Prisoners showed a state of learned helplessness as they were tortured by the guards and they could do nothing as it happens in real life in a real prison.
