What are the goals of integrated behavioral health care? What are the benefits of integrated behavioral health care? What, if any, are the disadvantages to a service-delivery system that is like a “one-stop shop”? I have repeatly asked for the answers provided to be cited, oftentimes they are not. Once again please cite your answer if it is not cited its of no use to me, I'm paying for nothing.

1)Goals of Integrated Behavioral Health care

Main goals of Integrated behavioral health care is improving the care system. According to a recent Survey, so many people are suffering for mental illness like Anxiety, Depression and other behavioral illness.(Rollnick W.R Butler and Aloia,2008)

The Integrated Health care works for improving the total Behavioral health care system. There are some specific goals of Integrated Behavioral health care such as

  • Improving Communication between Behavioral health and Primary health care givers(Luoma. and Pearson, 2002)
  • Improving all the care condition
  • Helping others who are facing illness like Depression, Anxiety and other behavioral issues.

2) Benefits of Integrated Behavioral Health Care

  • 90% People who have a behavioral problem are benefitted by Integrated Behavioral health care. They are visited to primary care provider for atleast one time in a year. This is the biggest benefit of Integrated behavioral health care.(Doherty and Baird, 1996)
  • This is a advantage for those people who are not getting behavioral health treatment for their mental disorders like Depression, Anxiety and Other. According to a survey report, 67% people are in this list. They do not get any behavioral treatment.Integrated Behavioral health care providers are always providing best behavioral care for these patients.(Patel,et,al.2013)
  • Integrated Behavioral health care providers delivers care according to your needs and your information. These information are collected from Lab test, medicational test, healthcare objectives etc. So you will receive an appropiate care based on your health conditions.(Kodner. and Spreeuwenberg,2002)
  • Proper screening is very important before providing any treatment. Integrated Behavioral health care system goes under an appropiate screening. Such as Depression screening, Anxiety screening and screening for other behavioral illness. After complete screening they provides the actual care.
  • Integrated Behavioral health care provides a direct communication between the team members and patient. The communication way is face to face. So you can consult about your behavioral illness with your care givers.(Atun, 2004)

3) A one-stop shop refers to a shop where someone can get all his needed things.It refers to a office or organization where we can have multiple services.

Disadvantage

As one-stop Shop focuses on so many services in one time. So their quality of Service delivery can be decreased. This is the one and only disadvantage of one-Stop Shop.(Sink and Gibson,1996)
