Many educators recommend that parents read to babies every day before one year of age. What theory of language development does this reflect and why? Ask at least two parents if they read to their child before the age of 1. Ask them to explain why or why not? Did you notice any cultural differences in your responses? You can use yourself as one of the parents.

Introduction :- Nativist theory was a theory based on the language development of child . As, its prove in this theory that a born child always take birth with a ability to learn a language and when parents read to babies everyday then they start learning message and character of story, because there genes and brain became active to learn the language.

As, lauguage is a fundamental way to expess the feeling and convey the message. If, parent want to develop certain type of behaviour and want convey any type of message then a storytelling is aa best way to express there child any behavior. Because, this messegas help unconsiously learn this knowledges and can practice them later in life. Being in position of parent i ll definetly read stories with my baby to convey moral and message with him .
