Homework Answers

Answer #1

The four stages of Cross' model of racial identity development; in the first two stages an individual is unaware of his racial implications and has just understood the occurrence of racial awareness. It is in the third stage; immersion and emersion where an individual acknowledges and rejects non-black culture and is likely to seek out counselor’s knowledge about his ethnic group. It is at this stage that an individual is at ease with his own race and other races and individuals of different race.
