What is the difference between instrumental value and intrinsic value? How does Malcolm Budd view the value of art? What about Robert Stecker? For both philosophers, indicate whether they think the value of art is instrumental or intrinsic. Then, say at least one reason or argument they make in support of their conclusion.

Intrinsic value is self less or puroposeless create relationship but instrumental value create relationship conditionally .

Intrinsic value is more worthy and something is intrinsic value when we value it simply for it's own sake .For example , friendship , love , beauty , wusedom . Frindship is necessary for happy life .we give it value not for good results but we think frindship is valueable in it.therefore, we can think that friendship is intrinsically valuable.

But when we made friendship for our self interst or having any purpose behind it then it will called instruemental value.

malcolm Budd view that value of art is picture , music and poetry. It creates conciousness and awarness among human mind and enrichment of experience through this awarness.it educate us or even provide a emotional outlet.

Robert stecker view that art of value is asthetic value which develop sence of appriciation and he definte art is item that is an art work .

They think that value of art is totally intrinsic value . It doesn't related any pupose but it is inner beauty .to make people asthetically develop , art of value is indespensible .so it is intrinsic values which Necessary for living of human being without any purpose.
