In the earlier times, monasteries were one of the most influential organizations and were well-known. Aside from regular worship surroundings, it benefitted its surrounding communities with many privileges. During the earlier days, they were only the basis of health treatment, therefore they attached hospitals to their monasteries. The monks used to give provide medical treatment. They even have schools run by them. Some of them have centers renowned for learning cultures and knowledge.
