Do you believe in physician assisted suicide? Is this a consideration that should remain with the states or should it be federal law?

Answer #1

Physician assisted suicide or Euthanasia can be supported if it is properly implemented. There are many reasons for supporting this:

  • It is mainly done for the patient where the medical science fails to bring any improvement of the patient and the patient is totally on the life support system.
  • In such situation it appears that the patient's relatives are unable to run the treatment as there is no hope.
  • It also appears that medical science fails to offer any relief of pain and there is no chance of survival. Then physician assisted suicide.

It should be introduced in the Federal law as it is scientific. But the system can be modified.

write 3-5 sentences response to this post in your own words . I believe that active voluntary euthanasia is morally permissible as long as it is, in fact, voluntary (I also find active nonvoluntary euthanasia permissible as long as a trusted decision-maker is present). In some cases, I would actually prefer it to passive euthanasia because it would be quicker and (as far as we know) not painful for the patient. In the case of brain death or in other...
