What was Philip Zimbardo's biggest regret when looking back at the "Stanford Prison Experiment"
One of the most important regrets he may have although he rejected of not having any regrets about the experiment would be that he failed to stop the guards from harming the prisoners. This is because of the fact that the most important ethical principle in research involving human subjects today is the no harm principle which he completely ignored. He kept motivating the guards to behave as if they are real guards while developing a sense of inferiority among the prisoners.
