How does Stanley Milgram's theory explain the behavior undertaken by the NAZI's . How does it tie into attribution
Stanley Milgram’s experiment brought out the human beings’ tendency to obey the authority figures either out of respect or out of fear. This would mean that even a good person when forced by an authority would engage in unethical acts or would tolerate the unethical acts of the leaders. Thus, the NAZI soldiers obeyed the orders of their leaders even though they knew that some of their actions would cause great harm. However, they just obeyed because they were blaming their actions on the leader without taking the blame themselves. This would lead to the attribution theory in which people would take credit for their actions while blame others for their mistakes.
