This process is used to communicate both routine and persuasive messages in the work place. You don't know who your audience is, so just write the report as broadly as you can and hope you don't offend anyone.it has three essential steps:

1. Prewriting: Form the purpose, profile your audience and determine the correct tone and method.
2. Writing: Research, organize and comprise the message
3. Revising: Proofread, revise and determine if the message will appeal to the audience.
