  • Infants are at the risk of strangulation.
  • An infant might get trapped between a mattress.

Infants should always be placed on their backs at the time of sleep. They should be on a firm mattress without any pillows, without any toys, without any blanket.

Parents should put a crib next to their bed. They can use a bedside sleeper, that allows them and their baby to be next to each other.
