Answer #1

In my opinion, there shouldn’t be any money involved in the election because the time one give money to a candidate, it binds them with a responsibility to act in favour of them. This would pave way for favouritism.

When corporations started donating money for the political parties, it paved the way for corruptions. Multi-national corporations are the worst unethical business people who can’t even spell the words honesty and ethics. They for their business purposes compromise with their integrity and bribe politicians and bureaucrats thus exploiting everyone in the country. When big companies bribe the officials and politicians in the name of donation, it not only leads to unaccounted black money. I do not see any need for the corporations to give money to a candidate without any return on their investment.

It’s money that decides most of the elections because political parties need big hands to manipulate both the information and influence people in favour of them. In order to do this, they need to pay for those big shots for which the political parties look for enormous fund which is given by the multinational companies.

The government should give money for the election campaign in order to prevent the companies and individuals from corrupting the politicians who in return will lead a corrupt life throughout their political career. Any such donation should be given openly to the government which then be given equally to the political parties for their expenses. Parties can collect subscription from their supporters only through a government portal.
