Answer #1

In the festival of Dionysius the actors act in different shape. There is the presentation of chorus and satyr. Satyr is a type of animal dance used to be presented on the stage. The actors would use to put on various types of musk of the animals and they would appear aa animals on the day of celebration.

There would be great procession where the actors would appear in various wild animals. On the stage the actors would appear in the image of various classical gods. At that period women would not be allowed to take part in the dramatic activities. So, the actors would play the role of actress. Even in the festival of Dionysius many things of the stage direction would be played by the actors. They would play the role of lion, tiger, birds, tree, wall etc.
