Answer #1

1. Paperwork and data collection

Special education teachers have an additional responsibility of collecting medical reports, filling legal or medical forms, maintaining progress reports and other related papers for administration. This can be very tedious and time consuming for teachers as they need to ensure all the paperwork is accurate while fulfilling their duties of teaching, scheduling, supervising, conducting tests, grading papers, etc. This challenge can be addressed by using technology to store information digitally, thus making it faster and easier to save and access information.

2. Training special education teachers or instructors

Children with special needs require training in a simplifed and different method according to their way of understanding. Special training is required for teachers to teach these children in ways suitable to each child. Finding teachers with such specialisation is not easy and so training them becomes mandatory.

3. Problems with behavior

In addition to teaching, teachers have a responsibility of dealing effectively with the behavioral problems of children with special needs. Each child is special and different. All their behavior will not be the same and so they will each have to be treated differently. So teachers need to be trained in this aspect as well before they are inducted as special education teachers.
