How is deindividuation's effect on social loafing similar to its effect on aggression?
Deindividuation's is the loss of one’s individuality i.e. the loss of self-awareness in groups this leads to increased social loafing and a person exerts fewer efforts to achieve a goal when he is working in a group than when he works alone as he feels less responsible and accountable due to loss of self-awareness i.e. a realization of individual goals and responsibility. All this leads to an increased aggression as when the performance is low due to loss of self-awareness leading to loafing people feel agitated when questioned about their poor performance as they are not aware of the self i.e. roles and responsibilities.
