Answer #1

Propinquity can perpetuate and increase perceived similarity in our friendships because the more close we are to each other the more we may like and understand each other and hence adopt each other’s ways. According to the research finding that the more we see and interact with people, the more likely they are to become our friends. Familiarity leads to liking (passive contacts), personal factors are less important in determining friends than we think. As the number of class visits increases, students perceive the instructor as more. It is seen that the more similar one's options to someone the more we will like that person. According to research by Theodore Newcomb men usually became friends with those who are demographically similar as well as those were similar in attitudes/values and personality characteristics.
