With the practice of sociocultural assessment foundation for effective strategies for linguistically diverse classrooms describe how fairness can be used to evaluate assessment

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Using fairness to evaluate assessment as an effective strategy for linguistically diverse class involves the teaching-learning environment, assessment tasks and classroom's language interaction to respect the diversity in the classroom, which could be gender, linguistic or cultural difference. Students from all backgrounds must find the materials and context used in the classroom to be meaningful and helpful. If the teacher finds out that certain group is lagging behind, then they should change their assessment strategies and teaching methods, so that there is no imbalance in the learning outcomes, and each student no matter what the background is fairly benefitted.
