The correct answer is a. Primary effects.

Justification- Primary effect is the effect when the rater or the one who evaluates, makes a conclusion about the employee or the applicant on the basis of his or her first impression. The impression made on the rater can be positive or negative. If the impression is positive (positive primary effect), then the rate made by the applicant can be concluded as good, but if the impression made is negative (negative primary effect), then the rate can be concluded as bad.
