Which do you think plays a greater role in resistance to social change: economic or cultural factors? Why?

Answer #1

Answer- I think economic factors play a major role in resistance to social change. Because if a country or society is economically weak then they will be poor and there will be poverty all over and they will stagnate in their progress. People there will remain the same as they were decades ago. They will resist all the changes because they don't have the means to bring the change. They will have lack of resources.

But if the economic condition of a country or city is very good then there will be more and more development, more and more creative work will be done in society and thus there will be a social change. People will improve their lives and adopt new methodology of doing work and transform their lives.
