Human development refers to the process of enlarging people's freedoms and opportunities in order to improve their well-being. The concept of Human development asserts that the real freedom of ordinary people means that they are able to decide who to be, what to do, and how to live. The six basic pillars of human development are equity, sustainability, productivity, empowerment, cooperation and security.
