Answer #1

FBI makes report on the crimes (in that year) at the end of every year. In the past, the reports said that the murder rate has plummeted from 1900 to 2000 and then again it began to rise only to fall. Now it's is on rise.

That overall crime is still hight for a developed country like USA. The crime rate of America is much higher than Britain, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Germany etc.

Crime rate is higher in the area of drug abuse, impoverished areas, minorities etc. In most of the country, the crime rate does not affect the average citizen and is quite low. This shows that gangs and drugs fuel the crime rate in America.

The crime rate has reduced by 50% in the past 2 decades in America on an average.
