After the war, colonists did not feel they needed British soldiers in their towns and they soon realized they did not want to be under a sovereign and divine right king. Similarly, Colonists were being influenced by the American Enlightenment which was a phase of rational instigation in the thirteen American colonies during 17th and 18th century, which resulted in the American Revolution, and the formation of the American Republic, and also Deism which built the ethics of independence.
