Shuaib is a Psychologist and a television anchor; he wants to conduct a research on the effect of media on people’s mind. Explain him the research methods by providing him with suitable examples.

Answer- There are two methods which I will tell Shuaib to adopt. Following are the methods-

1) Primary sources- There are primary sources which are also called raw sources and first hand sources because the information through this research is gathered directly from the subject of our research. For example, in the above case Shoaib can conduct a survey on people of various cities and towns, he can take interviews of people to know their views, he can make phone calls to different people and know their views and so on.

2) Secondary sources- Secondary sources provide us second hand information from other research work. For example- Shoaib here can get information from newspaper, magazines, television etc. to know the effect media has on minds of people.
