According to the American Counselors Association code of ethics under the rubric of competence, there is the imperative instruction which is laid down, which states that each professional should only practice within the bounds of his/her competence or subject knowledge and experience, and not beyond that.

According to Alcohol and Drug Addiction.Counselling code of ethics also has the bounds of competencies under which it states thst each professional should have the credentials and professional experience and supervised attention required to gain credibility and competence within the field.

Both the ethics aren't that different and speak as well as communicate similar essence.
