The following is the most effective approach to delinquency prevention: psychosocial development as according to the famous psychologist; Joan Erikson; during the adolescent phase children are defiant and rebellious. Thus it is important to for the parents to develop a rapport with their children and thus the influence of parents should be strong to reduce the role confusion that is generally very prominent in this phase of life leading to delinquency is lessened. This is the phase of life where children experiment with a variety of behaviors and activities to fit into the society. Thus in this stage of life parents and teachers should play the role of channelizing the energies of the children and directing them into good roles.
