A parliamentary systemof democracy is characterized by a separation of powers. The primary objective of this separation of powers is to mitigate the possible risk of any abuse of power. The other option cannot be fully attribited to the parliamentary system of democracy. This is because it is not characterized by ' a single election' or the absence of 'run-offs'.
