When have you doubted yourself? Compare your self-doubt to in terms of what causes it and how you respond to it. (atleast six lines not a complicated response)

Answer #1

I have doubted myself in many circumstances. Most recently it was when I appeared for an interview seeking admission as a prospective student in a highly prestigious university. During the interview, I was asked several difficult questions to test my knowledge but I felt as though my response was far from satisfactory. I felt ashamed of my incompetence and foolish to even apply to this university.

These feelings clearly stemmed from my almost lifelong struggle with terribly low self esteem. When situations like these trigger feelings of worthlessness and hopelessness, I tend to withdraw from others and distract myself by doing things I enjoy doing, such as listening to music or reading.
