Coping is concious effort to reduce stress.psychological coping mechanism termed as coping strategies or coping diffrent coping style can be employed to reduce stress in following way
1. Appriasal Focused strategy
its helps to modify the thought process associated with stress . people can think alter way of problem for solution by approaching diffrently or altering their goal and values.
2. problem focused strategy : This strategy helps to findout the causes of problem or stress. People try to reach the source of problem and eliminating possible source of problem for stress.therefore, stress can be reduced .
3. Emotion Focused strategy:
Emotion focused feeling adress the feeling associaited with stressor like anxiety , conflict , depression.now people modify these feelings by distracting , releasing or maneging their mental state.
Adaptive strategy :
Positive coping Behaviour or adjust with situation is called adaptive.adaptive coping strategy is seeking social support from others and learn from stressful situation .
So a typical person can follow and employed above strategy for reducing and maneging stress.
