Homework Answers

Answer #1

Fire in the blood is a movie about combating AIDS. The pharmaceutical companies denied the access of low cost AIDS drugs to the African population causing unnecessary and unavoidable deaths. The concept of being in the Balcony applies to those who silently view from a distance what was happening and still did not raise a voice ungainst this unfair practice. As opposed to being in the Dance Floor which applies to the people who were actuall involved and suffered. They finally united to rise against this political power who denied them the nececessaryto medicines. Stanley led them to organise various demonstrations and technical solutions to try out the drug trials. He survives in the end but feels guilty about surviving because many others could have been saved by the combination therapy but were denied the access to it.
