A 40 cm diameter loop is placed in a uniform electric field to the position where the greatest flux is obtained. Placed. The flux at this position is 5.2x105 (Nm2 / C). The size of the electric field how much?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Diameter of Loop = D = 40 cm = 0.4 m

radius of loop = r = D/2 = 0.4/2 =0.2 m

A = area of loop = * r2

= * (0.2)2

= 3.14* (0.2)2

= 0.1256 m2

This loop is placed in a uniform electric field at a position where the greatest flux is obtained.

= flux at this position = 5.2x105 (Nm2 / C)

As flux is given, we need to use formula of flux to find electric field.

Formula:

= E.A

5.2x105 = E * ( 0.1256 )

size of the electric field = E = 5.2x105 / ( 0.1256 )

= 4.14 x 106 N / C (answer)
