Answer #1

1-1)- Weiht is defined as force exerted on a body by gravity

mass of object = m

gravitational accleration = g = 9.81 m/s2

weight W = mg

and 1 newton (N) = 1 kg m/s2

so that

a)- m = 8 kg

w = 8x9.81 = 78.5 N

b)- m = 0.04 kg

w = 0.04x9.81 = 0.392 N

c)- m = 760 Mg = 760x 103 kg

w = 760x103x9.81 = 7455600 N

1-2)- =

a)-

  b)-

c)-

1-3)

a)-

b)-

c)-
