Answer #1

here,

mass of the refridgerator , m = 175 kg

force applied , f = 310 N

theta = 17 degree

uk = 0.19

distance , d = 16 m

normal reaction , N = m*g - f*sin(theta)

N = 175*9.8 - 310*sin(17)

N = 1624.36 N

work done by the applied force , Wf = f*d*cos(theta)

Wf = 310 * 16 * cos(17)

Wf = 4743.27 J

work done by the applied force is 4743.27 J

work done by the frictional force , Wff = uk*N*d

Wff = 0.19*1624.36*16

Wff = 4938.05 J

the work done by the frictional force is 4938.05 J
