In open space between the airport and the school, noise level decreases by 15 dB each time the distance increases tenfold. How far away would the school have to be moved to make the sound manageable? Noise Level Decreases 15 dB / 10 times of basic-50 m ( 15 dB/ 500 m)

So to decrese intentsity at mangable level(approx 80 dB) need to decrease by 60 dB .

So to decrese 60 dB , increment of distance = 500 * 4 = 2000 m

So school has to move by ( 2000-650 ) = 1350 m  

Now

Two OPTIONS to reconcile this issue

1) locating barrier-type heavy walls parallel to the noise source(airport side).

2) Making the whole school campus soundproof by covering whole campus with solid chamber.
