Why do Physicist claim that the primary colors of pigment are cyan, magenta, and yellow, but artist say the primary colors of pigment are Red, Blue, and Yellow?

I already know about the additive and subtractive system. Also, that Cyan, magenta, and yellow are used in the printing world, and that red, blue, and green are used in the digital world. So, please answer that question at hand instead of going into detail about things that don't answer the question.

If your answer is that it depends on perspective, please explain what you mean. Physicist say that the Red, Blue, and yellow model that you learned in school is outdated and predates modern science.
