Answer #1

According to Gauss law, total flux leaving the closed surface is equal to the charge enclosed by that surface.

Now in our problem, we are given the cube centered at origin having length of side 6m. Hence the 8 points of the cube are, (3 3 3), (-3 3 3 ) , (3 -3 3), (3 3 -3), (-3 -3 3) (3 -3 -3), (-3 3 -3), (-3 -3 -3).

Given data: 30nC at (-1 -4 -2)

-20 nC at (0 0 0)

10 nC at (1 5 -1)

Now out of given three charges -20nC lies inside the cube. Other two charges lies outside the cube.

Hence according to Gauss law, total flux will be equal to -20nC.

Answer: -20nC
