Discuss the application of Lenz's law in real-life situations.
First of all, what does lenz's law says ???
The current from the induced emf will produce a magnetic field which will oppose the original magnetic field (change in magnetic flux)
The real life applications are:
1) Induction cooktops or Induction based stoves are based on lenz's law. In this, the emf induced will result in eddy currents and the high resistive material of container will heat up the cooktop and this heat will be used for cooking.
2) In most of the high speed trains, electromagnetic braking is being used. In this, some mounted electromagnets induce current into motor spinning at high rate. The spinning is opposed by the current due to which it slows down.
