Discuss how to estimate the thickness of one page of the physics laboratory book using only a meter stick.

Answer #1

First you have to count the pages of the book. Let count the page by marking numbers on each page and let you got the number of pages is 500. As all of the pages are same in thickness then first measure the thickness of the whole book using the meter stick. Let assume that the total thickness measure by one meter stick is 1 inch.

So thickness of one page =(Total thickness measured by scale)/(Total number of pages)

Thickness of one page =1/500 =0.002 inchs.

(Note : if the page number are in the both side of book. Then the number of pages=( number of pages)/2).
