what is an imaging technique which involves proton flipping between their spin states.

what is an imaging technique which involves proton flipping between their spin states.

Answer #1

Ans- Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR).

Principle of NMR is based on the-Spinning of nucleus and generating a magnetic field.

When a charged particle like proton spins on its axis, it creates a magnetic field and the nucleus is considered as a bar magent.

This tiny bar magnet are randomly oriented in space. And when an external magnetic field is applied, this tiny bar magnets oriented aginst or with the magnetic field. Now the protons have two energy states-

a. Lower energy state with the nucleus aligned in the same direction.

b. Higher energy state in which the nucleus aligned against magnetic field.

Consider the states of the combined total spin of two particles, each of which has spin 5/2 with ms= +5/2, +3/2, +1/2, −1/2, −3/2, and −5/2. (a) How many macrostates are there corresponding to the different values of the total spin if the particles are distinguishable? (b) If the two particles are distinguishable, what is the total number of microstates for all the allowed macrostates? You create a game that involves flipping a coin and rolling a six-sided die. When a player takes their turn they first flip the coin to determine if they are going to deal or receive damage. The person then rolls the die to determine the amount of damage dealt. For this game, explain the difference between an event versus a simple event. What does that have to do with sample space Give the sample space for the game. Use H...
