Question

Charlie Brown and Lucy are playing catch. Charlie Brown is 15 m directly east of Lucy when she says "go long". Lucy throws the ball towards Charlie Brown (directly east) at an angle of 43 degrees above the horizontal. At exactly the same time, Charlie starts running at a constant speed, Vc, directly east. Charlie runs east for 3.2 seconds and then catches the ball at the same height from which Lucy threw it.

(a) At what speed did Lucy throw the ball?

(b) At what speed, v_c, did Charlie Brown run?

I think the answers are supposed to be (a) 23 m/s and (b) 12.2 m/s but I don't know how to get those answers.
