Speed of wave = /T, where is wavelength and T is time period.

So, it is not necessary that a wave with higher wavelength will have highest speed as speed also depends on time period T of the wave.

For example, consider a wave with wavelength 1 m and time peiod 1 second. Velocity of this wave = 1/1 = 1m/s.

Consider another wave with wavelength 0.5 m and time period = 0.25 second. Velocity of this wave = 0.5/0.25 = 2m/s

So, second wave travels faster as compared to first wave even though wavelength of second wave is lower than that of first wave.

So, given statement is fase.
