5. A bullet with a mass 0.850 g is fired in to a hanging block which is free to swing (recall ballistic pendulum). Mass of the hanging block is 6.4 kg. The bullet comes to rest as it is fired to the block and the block + bullet then swing upward vertically displacing the center of mass of the system by 7. 2 cm before the system comes momentarily to rest at the end of the arc. What is the speed of the bullet prior to the collision?

A bullet with mass m1 = 3.00 g is fired into a wooden block of mass m2 = 1.00 kg, that hangs like a pendulum. The bullet is embedded in the block (complete inelastic collision). A bullet of mass 12.4 g is fired into an initially stationary block and comes to rest in the block. The block, of mass 1.15 kg, is subject to no horizontal external forces during the collision with the bullet. After the collision, the block is observed to move at a speed of 4.00 m

A bullet with a mass ?b=12.7 g is fired into a block of wood at velocity ?b=261 m/s. The block is attached to a spring that has a spring constant ? of 205 N/m. The block and bullet continue to move, compressing the spring by 35.0 cm before the whole system momentarily comes to a stop.
