explain the effect of the Magnus force, use one example to illustrate and explain the relationship between the direction of spin and the beginning of a moving objects trajectory
The Magnus effect is a phenomenon which is associated with a spinning object moving through the air or another type of fluid. Thus the path of the spinning object is deflected while the object is spinning. The deflection can be obtained by the difference in pressure of the fluid in opposite sides of the spinning object. The Magnus Effect depends on the speed of rotation.
Magnus explained the Magnus force in 1853.
