Answer : - when we use mathematical physics to represent any theory , this will become quiet easy .second , sometimes by developed mathematics we get unusual results we tends to give new ideas . as in the case of tunneling effect in fact complete quantum mechanics is by the use of mathematics . and not only quantum mechanics but also in other branches of the physics such as Maxwell`s equation in electromagnetism . which is very beautifull explanation of electromagnetism by mathematical equation.
